Veteran Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga will retire from One-Day internationals after the first match against Bangladesh today as announced by Captain Kumar Sangakara.
The 35-year-old pacer Lasith Malinga played 225 ODIs, scored 335 wickets at an average of 29.02. Malinga played his last Test in 2010 but continued playing the shorter formats.

Malinga was named in the 22-man squad for Bangladesh's tour of Sri Lanka. Malinga holds the record of highest ODI score for Sri Lanka at No. 10 position and he is also the only Sri Lankan player to score a fifty at the position.
He is the third-highest wicket-taker in the limited-overs format for Sri Lanka after Muttiah Muralidharan (523) and Chaminda Vaas (399).
The paceman with the distinctive slingshot action has previously said he would retire from international cricket following next year's World Twenty20 in Australia.
