More Players Likely to Pull Out from India Tour: Bangladesh Cricket Chieftour

Dhaka, October 28, 2019:

As top Bangladesh cricketers opt to pull out of the team’s Bangladesh upcoming tour of India, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hasan comments that there are people who have tried to sabotage the tour. Hasan added that he expects more players to pull out at the last moment.

The ongoing dispute between the BCB and its cricketers got resolved after the board officials agreed to most of the demands made by the players. The top Bangladesh cricketers on last Monday went on strike and denied to take part in any cricketing activity until their pay demands were addressed.

Earlier, Bangladesh cricket team’s most experienced batsman Tamim Iqbal opted out of the upcoming India tour saying his wife is expecting their second child.

Reportedly, Iqbal agreed to skip only one Test and then pulled out of the entire tour.

Hasan also hinted that there could be a few more who would opt out of the tour.
