MUMBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Sunday announced the men's and women's T20I teams of the decade, where MS Dhoni has been named the captain of the men's T20I Team of the Decade which also features the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah among others.

While Dhoni has been named captain of the illustrious XI, Kohli, Rohit, and Bumrah are the other Indian players to make the cut in the Team of the Decade in the shortest format. Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, Aaron Finch, and Lasith Malinga also feature in the list.

Rohit and Gayle have been selected as openers in the star-studded line-up. Hitman is the 2nd-highest run-getter in T20Is with 2773 runs in 108 matches including 4 centuries and 15 fifties. Gayle has 1627 runs to his name in 58 matches at an average of over 32 and a strike rate of over 142.

Australian skipper Finch is at no.3 with India's current skipper Kohli taking the no.4 spot. Kohli is the leading run-getter in T20Is with 2928 runs in 85 matches at a stunning average of 50.48 and a strike rate of 138.43. De Villiers and Maxwell, who are known for their big-hitting prowess have been picked at no.5 and 6 respectively.

Dhoni is the captain and the wicket-keeper batsman in the side.
