The ace athlete showcased his exceptional skills with a remarkable throw of 87.66 meters on June 30, solidifying his position as one of the world's top javelin throwers.

Neeraj's victory in Lausanne marked his comeback after missing several competitions due to injury, following his triumph at the Diamond League 2023 event in Doha back in May. His remarkable performance in Switzerland demonstrated his resilience and unwavering determination.

The competition unfolded with Neeraj not among the top three athletes after the first round. However, he made his presence known in the second round with a throw of 83.52 meters. Despite this, Julian retained the lead at the end of the second round, leaving Neeraj to climb up the ranks.

In the sixth and final attempt, Neeraj achieved a throw of 84.15 meters, further solidifying his dominant position in the event. His consistent and outstanding performance throughout the competition ultimately secured him the well-deserved gold medal.

While Neeraj emerged as the champion, Julian settled for second place with a best throw of 87.03 meters. The Czech Republic's Jakub Vadlech secured the third position with a remarkable throw of 86.13 meters.
