Guwahati, August 30, 2019:

The sixth edition of the Indian Super League (ISL) is all set to begin from October 20, 2019, and the Northeast United Football Club (NEUFC) is all set to participate in the most popular soccer extravaganza in the country.

As many as four players from the Northeast have been selected to play for the NEUFC this season. Assam’s Rakesh Pradhan, Sikkim’s Nim Dorjee, Manipur’s Nanoithoi will be playing in this season. This was announced by the head coach of the team.

It is also announced that opening of a Football Academy is in the pipelines.

The first match of NEUFC will be held at 7.30 pm, against Bengaluru Football Club on October 21. The league fixtures will conclude on February 23, 2020.

The second ISL match will be played against Delhi Dynamos on October 26, 2019, third will be held in the month of November 1, 2019 against FC Goa. The fourth match will be played against FC Pune City on November 6, fifth match on November 27 against Mumbai City FC.

NEUFC will play against Jamshedpur FC on December 2 and against ATK on December 7. Again it will play against Chennaiyin FC on December 12 and Bengaluru FC on December 18. The team will play against Kerala Blasters on December 28, 2019 towards the end of the year.

In the year 2020, NEUFC will play against Jamshedpur FC on January 2, 2020 and against FC Goa on January 8, 2020. It will face Chennaiyin FC on January 16 and ATK on January 27.

It is then scheduled to play against Mumbai City FC on January 31.

Later, the North-eastern team will play against Kerala Blaster on February 9 and Delhi Dynamos on February 14. The football club will face Pune City FC on February 20, 2020.
