SFA to organize 1st All Sikkim Women’s Football Tournament

Guwahati, December 25, 2018:

The Sikkim Football Association (SFA) is organizing the first All Sikkim Women’s Football Tournament, scheduled from December 26 to December 30 at Paljor Stadium.

A total of eight teams from all four districts will be participating in the tournament.

The teams taking part in the tournament are D’zongu Girls Football Club from North Sikkim, Women’s FA Gyalshing, Soreng Girls Academy, Pragati Sangh, Soreng and Maneybong Dentam Girls Academy from West Sikkim, Girls FC from South Sikkim and Corinthian Girls FC, Pakyong and Sikkim Himalayan Girls FC from East Sikkim.

The main objective of SFA’s women’s wing for organizing such tournament is to promote women empowerment from the smaller parts of the state and bring the change in the epoch.
