Shreyasi Singh, The 29-year-old shooter, who competes in the double trap event, is an Arjuna awardee.
She is a gold medalist at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia and a silver medalist at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland and Daughter of former Central Minister late Digvijay Singh and mother Putul Kumari who is a former MP from Banka, joined BJP today ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections.

Shreyasi Singh hails from Jamui district of Bihar and this is her first step into politics. She is expected to run elections either from Amarpur (Banka) or Jamui.
"With the blessing of my mother and elder sister today I accept the membership of BJP. The main motive in joining the party is to fulfil my father's dream," she said.
she also said that 'I am with the Prime Minister in his Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign and I will work hard and to my full capacity,' said Singh
She joined the political party in presence of of party leader Bhupendra Yadav at BJP headquarters in New Delhi.
Assembly elections in Bihar is 243 seats and will be contested in three phases on October 28, November 3 and 7.
