Former India captain and current chairman of the BCCI technical committee, Sourav Ganguly will visit Shillong on October 25 to attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of the indoor practice facility cum gymnasium at the Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA) cricket ground in Polo Ground by Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma.
Sourav Ganguly’s visit was finalised in a meeting he had with MCA secretary, Naba Bhattacharjee in Kolkata recently.
Sourav, who is also the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) president, was in Guwahati for the One Day International between India and West Indies on Sunday during which he also met Bhattacharjee.
During his visit to the Meghalaya capital, Sourav will also interact with officials of the MCA to work out areas of tie up and technical cooperation with CAB.
He is likely to meet officials of other sports organisations as well. Besides Sourav, Amitabh Choudhary, the acting secretary, BCCI has also confirmed his presence to Bhattacharjee.
