MANIPUR: STATE TO BOOST THE GAME OF HOCKEY

With a view to develop Hockey in the state, Manipur Hockey today granted Koutruk Youth Development Club, Koutruk, Imphal as an affiliated unit of the Association. The finalisation was made at the club premises of KYDC during a field visit based on their application of 27th May being taken up by a committee.

Thoiba Singh life President, Shri Basudev Singh,President, Manipur Hockey, Shri Gyanendro Ningombam, Member Hockey India, L. Tiken Singh, General Secretary, Manipur Hockey, L. Bashanta Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, Manipur Hockey, Ksh. Ibopishak Singh,Executive director, MH and A. Rame, Associate Vice President took further course of action into consideration.

Shri Basudev Singh, President, MH assured the members of the club that a 21days coaching programme for U-12 & U-14 under the care of Manipur Hockey would be taken up. The Association in consultation with the club officials would take up to fix the date of commencement of coaching latest by last week of June.

Manipur Hockey will provide hockey sticks and balls in order to ensure to fill the needs of the club. Further, Manipur Hockey are ready to depute train Coaches as earliest possible.
