Indian pugilist Vijender Singh has claimed his 12th successive win by defeating former Commonwealth champion Charles Adamu from Ghana.

Singh remained intact with his four-year unbeaten streak in the professional circuit with his latest win.

The 34-year-old Vijender Singh prevailed unanimously in an eight-round super middleweight contest against the 42-year-old, Charles Adamu.

Although Adamu had fought through, in the fourth round, he copped a point deduction for excessive bending.

Post the match, Vijender took to his social media handle and tweeted, “Happy to continue my winning streak and making it 12-0 here in Dubai. Thanks to all my friends and fans for always supporting and believing in me. ???”

Meanwhile, social media users have hailed the Indian boxer for his 12th successive win and lauded his efforts to bring laurels to the country.

Adamu is also an Olympian and won a bronze medal for his country in the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur during his amateur days.
