Virat Kohli Becomes #1 Ranked Test Batsman in the World

New Delhi, December 4, 2019:

Indian start skipper Virat Kohli has again topped the batsmen’s list in the ICC Rankings for Test batsmen, leaving behind Australia’s Steve Smith.

Virat Kohli struck a fine 136 in the Day-Night Kolkata Test against Bangladesh last week to reach 928 points. Meanwhile, Smith’s knock of 36 in the Adelaide Test against Pakistan saw him slip to 923 points from 931 before the match. Apart from Kohli, the other Indian in the top 10, Ajinkya Rahane is at the sixth spot.

Meanwhile, Australia opener David Warner’s epic 335 not out has lifted him 12 places to the fifth position. On the other hand, Marnus Labuschagne is in the top 10 for the first time.

Right-handed top-order batsman, Kohli is regarded as one of the best batsmen in the world. Kohli currently captains the India national team.

Meanwhile, Indian fans on Twitter went berserk and reacted on Virat Kohli regaining the top spot at ICC test rankings.
