NEW DELHI: Following the recent border clash between Assam and Mizoram, Mizoram Governor K Hari Babu today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss the prevailing situation after the Assam-Mizoram border clash.
Governor K Hari Babu stated that the Centre is working to find a solution.
Talking to media in Parliament after meeting PM Modi, Babu said the incident was "very unfortunate".

"The home minister is trying to defuse the tension and he is trying to find a solution. Both Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga have committed that peace will be restored," he said.
The Assam-Mizoram border violence took place on July 26.

At least six Assam police personnel were killed in the clash.
