GUWAHATI: Former AGP leader Pabindra Deka who joined Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) recently said about four or five AGP MLAs will soon join the AJP soon.
He said the MLAs will join the AJP within 20-25 days.
Deka said other than the AGP leaders, 15 BJP MLAs will also join the All Assam Students’ Union-backed political party. The party has been floated on the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act plank.
Deka has resigned from the Assam Assembly after joining the AJP.
The AJP has in the meantime been giving final touches to alliance with Krishak Mukti Sangram Samity-backed Raijor Dal and Autonomous State Demand Committee (ASDC).
Both the AJP and Raijor Dal have categorically stated that they would not ally with any national party or any communal party.
