The Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance (TIPRA) has decide to distribute 8000 blankets in every village across Tripura this year, informed its Chief Pradyot Manikya.

AGARTALA: The Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance (TIPRA) has decide to distribute 8000 blankets in every village across Tripura this year, informed its Chief Pradyot Manikya.

"This winter no poor or homeless Tripuri should sleep in the cold. We will be distributing 8000 premium quality blankets in every village across the state", tweeted the Royal Scion.

"Our job is to be with the people and not indulge in politics ! Our job is ensure that we are different from the rest.
On Wednesday
Earlier on Wednesday,  TIPRA Chief informed that the party has been denied contesting seat in Santirbazar". 
Taking to Twitter, the Royal Scion wrote, “It’s a Shame that the Administration has denied a regional party from contesting a seat in Santirbazar.”

He further stated that TIPRA motha has often been hindered from excercising their constitutional rights by ruling party.

“At every stage the TIPRA Motha has been blocked from exercising their constitutional rights by ruling party stopping us from filing our nomination”, he added.
This comes after  Tiprasa Indigenous People’s regional Alliance (TIPRA) Chairman Pradyot Manikya  announced that the party will contest in the upcoming civic bodies elections in Tripura for the very first time.
Informing the same, Manikya tweeted had, “First time a regional party TIPRA is fighting elections in urban areas in the history of Tripura – And we are here to win ! Times are changing”.

The election to 20 urban local bodies, including Agartala Municipal Corporation in Tripura is scheduled to be held on November 25.

Counting will be held on November 28, which will commence at 8 am.

Nearly six lakh people are expected to cast their votes during the civic bodies’ elections in Tripura.
