">Pradyot Manikya on Wednesday stated that  big plants like IOCL should try to benefit the locals as they are using the land of the people for explorations.

"Big plants should also realize that it's our land which is being used for the larger interest of the country and a little bit of help to our ppl will definitely help", he said.

The royal scion who paid a visit to the IOCL in RK Nagar Agartala, had a meeting with the officials of the company.

During the meeting, the Pradyot Manikya demanded the company to initiate more CRS activities as most of the gas and oil exploration take place in the Autonomous District Councils (ADC) areas.

He further stressed on rehabilitation of the people by the companies as well which will benefit them.

Pradyot Manikya extends financial help to next kin of Anti-Bru clash victims

On Tuesday,  the royal scion gave away extra-gratia of Rs 1 lakh each to the families of Biswajit Debbarma and Pindulal Chakma, who were killed in a clash between security personnel and anti-Bru protestors in North Tripura last year.

The royal scion also provided an extra amount of Rs 25,000 for the ailing father of Biswajit Debbarma.

Taking to Twitter, the TIPRA Chief said, “After coming to power in the TTAADC we must never forget that we are here for our people and unity”.
