AGARTALA: TIPRA Chief Pradyot Manikya on Wednesday slammed CPI (M) state secretary Gautam Das for his remark that the Maharajas and the royal families of the Tripura have not done anything for the welfare of the citizens.
"To say that the Maharajas of Tripura did nothing is an example for how ungrateful such people can be", said the royal scion taking to Twitter.
"The language of Gautam Das and Fringe groups who are against Tiprasa community are shockingly similar", added the Royal scion.

He appealed to his supporters to not react to the comments of the CPIM secretary.
"The CPIM is finished and don't give them too much importance and maintain peace amongst all", he added.
During a media interaction held on Tuesday, the CPIM secretary said that Pradyot Manikya's party could create problems for the neighbouring states with their demands of 'Tripraland'.
Calling their demand irrelevant, He elaborated the demand for Greater Tipraland is about a land map that encompasses areas of Assam, Mizoram and Bangladesh along with Tripura.
Even though he accepted that the party, with this demand, were able to influence the youth of the state belonging to the indigenous community which made the party win the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections, he criticized the party for wasting funds during elections inspired by BJP.
He also slammed the ruling BJP government for subduing the voices of opposition parties.
