AGARTALA: Tripura Pradesh Congress expelled four senior Congress leaders including a former candidate for assembly election for alleged anti-party activities.
Tripura Pradesh Congress committee (TPCC) through a notification informed that PCC president Pijush Kanti Biswas has removed Ratan Pal from the post of president of 48-Karamchara block Congress committee and expel him from the primary membership of Congress for six years with immediate effect.

The PCC has also expelled Dipak Debnath, general secretary of Kailasahar district Congress committee, Rahim Mia, working president of 49-Chawmanu block Congress committee, Bidyamohan Chakma, general secretary of 49-Chawmanu block Congress committee from the primary membership of Congress for six years for their anti-party activities.
According to reports, Ratan Pal and three others were involved in anti-party activities and they are closely maintaining their connection with Trinamool Congress.
Earlier, few senior Congress leaders including Subal Bhowmik and former NSUI’s state president Rakesh Das had already joined TMC.
