CPI(M) ALLEGES ATTACK ON ITS CANDIDATE BY IPFT(NC) WORKERS IN TRIPURA

The CPI(M) on friday alleged that IPFT(NC) group miscreants attacked its candidate Ramendra Debbarma who is contesting from 12 Takarjala(ST) constituency. According to the CPI(M), IPFT(NC) group miscreants attacked Debbarma while he was on his way to Amarendranagar to attend an election meeting. It has also been alleged that IPFT(NC)  group miscreants ransacked the local committee office of CPI(M) at Takarjala. Three of the CPI(M) workers reportedly received serious injuries while trying to resist the attack who were later admitted to Bishramganj Hospital. Two police officials were also injured in the incident. Meanwhile, the CPI(M) has lodged an written complaint with the Chief Electoral Officer of Tripura regarding the attack.

It may be mentioned that, the BJP has been accusing the CPI(M) of attacking and killing it’s workers but this is the first instance where the CPI(M) has alleged attack on its members by IPFT(NC) workers who happens to be the alliance partner of the saffron party.
