Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura (IPFT) party will resolved to 'March to Delhi' demanding separate state 'Tipraland'.
On Saturday IPFT executive committee sat on a meeting at Saheed Bhagat Sigh Yuba Awas. After the meeting IPFT president Narendra Chandra Debbarma told to the reporters that, they will organize a 'Delhi Abhiyan' demanding 'Tipraland'. NC Debbarma also told to media that next month IPFT is going to Delhi to meet the Central BJP leaders and central Ministers to have a talk about the Tipraland.
It is notable that, in August last, IPFT leaders went to Delhi on the same issue and there, they met with the Central ministers.
NC Debbarma told that during Saturday's meeting, they have discussed about the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) Election.
Talking to media, IPFT President NC Debbarma said that IPFT has started preparations for the ADC election already, and there is no lack in this preparation.
The IPFT chief however mentioned, what will be the strategy between BJP and IPFT it is not yet decided, subjected to be outcome of mutual understanding followed by meetings.
It is also notable that earlier IPFT leaders told that if BJP will not listen to them then they will contest solo in ADC election which will held on April next year.
They also alleged that BJP leaders did not give proper attention and for this they contested solo in all elections. But today, IPFT president NC Debbarma said that the matter is still not finalized.
Ut may be mentioned here that the IPFT is the junior partner of Tripura state government along with BJP. In last assembly election both the party made a alliance but after the Assembly election, BJP did not give much room to IPFT. And that’s why they contested independently in all the elections after assembly election.
In the sixty member Tripura assembly, IPFT has eight MLAs and BJP has 36 MLAs.
