Nearly 500 members of IPFT and their leaders are at present in New Delhi, and have actively participated in the program.
Their main demand is that the Central Government should place a Bill in the Parliament for creation of a separate state called Tipraland. Sukla Charan Noatia, IPFT youth leader told the media that if the Central Government has created a new UT like Ladakh, then why can they not create ‘Tipraland’?

It may be mentioned here that the IPFT is an alliance partner of the BJP in Tripura and has been demanding a separate state called 'Tipraland' for a long time.
It may be noted here that in 2017, the IPFT blocked the national highway and railway for ten long days, regarding the same issue.
Now, with the TTAADC election fast approaching, the IPFT has again started a movement for a separate state. The movement for a separate state has gained further momentum with after the formation of a separate union territory, Ladakh.
