Royal scion Pradyot Kishore Manikya has informed that he is going to form a new 'indigenous' political party next month. According to sources, the declaration of new party made during the first week of November next.
Former IPFT vice president Ananta Debbarma who is now close to Pradyut Kishore said that a new platform for the indigenous people of Tripura is a demand of present situation. However, he did not disclose the name of the party and its symbol.
According to sources, the new party will consist of former Congress and IPFT (Indigenous Peoples front of Tripura) leaders. It has come to be known that several political leaders from Congress, IPFT and CPM will join this new party. Some BJP tribal leaders are also in touch with this new formation.

Ranjit Debbarma, who is very close to Maharaja Pradyot Kishore and ex-rebel leader of Tripura, confirmed the information.
He also said that the Maharaja is not present in Tripura at the moment, but he will visit soon and begin the proceedings to launch the party.
Pradyot Kishore resigned from the Congress last month after the differences with Lui Zenho Feleroi, the AICC general secretary and the party observer of Tripura.
Pradyot is demanding the NRC and also opposing the CAB, and ahead of the the last Lok Sabha election in Tripura, he brought different indigenous political parties and indigenous organizations of Tripura onto a common platform.

Several IPFT leaders also after leaving their party joined with Pradyot and as royal scion he has strong control over the indigenous people of the state.
Sources said that the BJP is also happy with this initiative, because if Pradyot forms a separate party, then Congress and CPI(M) will lose their ground in the tribal-populated areas in Tripura. It is expected to adversely affect the IPFT as well, as they will lose bargaining power.
It may be mentioned that the TTAADC election will be held next year in Tripura and the new platform is expected to reshuffle the political atmosphere in Tripura.
