SHOPS IN TRIPURA TO REMAIN OPEN FOR SEVEN DAYS A WEEK

Guwahati, November 10, 2018:

Tripura government has withdrawn section V of The Shops and Establishment Act, 1970 and made all business establishments open for 7 days a week in the state to facilitate the tourists and customers for convenient shopping.

Though the shops would be opened for the whole week, the owners and management have to allow one and half day holiday for the workers and labourers as per the international labour law.

At present, shops and business establishments remain closed on second half of Saturday and Sunday under Section-V of the Act.
