Tripura BJP leader on Wednesday writes letter to Prime Minister demanding the government to set up appropriate inquiry commission ‘to unearth death mystery of former union minister and founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh Late Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.’
In his letter, Prasenjit Chakraborty, who is also Tripura BJP spokesman, said, “People of the country still believe that Dr. Mukherjee was poisoned and forcefully pushed to death at the instance of the then Prime Minister of J&K Sheikh Abdulla and first Prime Minister of divided India Jawahar Lal Nehru. This allegation is not proved as truth, vice versa, not even proved untrue.”
Talking to Inside Northeast, Chakraborty said, “It is very unfortunate that till date no inquiry commission has been set up to unfold the mystery of Late Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s death. He is the first industry minister of India and it is he who founded the Bharatiya Jana Sangh. The mystery of the death of a leader of Mukherjee’s stature should be unearthed.”
“Modi ji my country can no longer tolerate ignorance to one of the strongest national leaders of India Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, and therefore, I appeal to your inspiring leadership to immediately set up appropriate inquiry commission to unearth his death mystery and arrange all proper measures to re-enlighten and propagate great thoughts and contributions of this most affected child of Bharat Maa,” Chakraborty writes in the letter addressing the Prime Minister of India.
