Tripura CM accused of allegedly harassing his wife?

Agartala, April 26, 2019:

Rumours of Chief Minister of Tripura, Biplab Deb has been accused of allegedly harassing his wife has been surfaced in social media platform.

It has also been reported that Biplab Deb’s wife, Niti has filed for divorce in the Tiz Hazari court of New Delhi alleging harassment and domestic violence. The registered case no. is IDA TS (div)7/19 Court No.1 Delhi central dtd.16/04/19.

Meanwhile, Niti has posted on her Facebook handle as "all such news r like.. ohh yeah kya hua??,,kaab hua?? Mujhe paata bhi nahi challa??????????

My love is unconditional and pure...no need to give explanation abt it to anyone...??"

In April 26, 2018, the Tripura CM also made controversial remarks by saying that international beauty pageants were a circus, and claimed that the decision to award Miss World and Miss Universe titles to Indian women for five years in a row was market-driven rather than based on the beauty of the participants.

In April 2018, Deb rolled into a nationwide controversy by claiming that internet and satellite existed since the Mahabharata era. He also made controversial remarks on the Civil Service Examination, stating that only civil engineers should sit for civil service exams.

Deb was sworn in as the chief minister of Tripura in 2018.
