In a big blow to the state of Tripura, 30 More people from Ambassa BSF camp including a truck driver tested COVID 19 positive tonight. The development announced by chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb himself took the state's total up to 118 with 116 active cases.
As per the chief minister, 25 BSF personnel from 86th battalion, 4 family members of BSF jawans of 138th battalion Ambassa, and a truck driver, who has been quarantined at Churaibari reported having found positive today. The Chief Minister in his message also urged the people to maintain peace and co-operate with the government to tackle the prevailing situation. He had also assured that the government was conducting mass testing in the containment zones or the high-risk areas to prevent further spread of the deadly contagion.
