AGARTALA: Governor's Rule in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) has been extended for another six months. The elections were deferred for an indefinite period on March 26 due to the rampant spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. This was informed by Tripura Governor Ramesh Kumar Bais on Tuesday (November 17).

Considering the pandemic situation, the Tripura Cabinet approved the transfer of the administrative power of the ADC to the Governor. Consequently, the Council was then dissolved on May 17.
