AGARTALA: 3 persons including a supervisor of the India-Bangladesh border fencing works were kidnapped by the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) cadres in Tripura on Monday. The trio has reportedly been taken across the border to Bangladesh.

The NLFT rebels abducted supervisor Subhash Bhowmik, excavator driver Subal Debnath and another worker, Ganapati Tripura, at gunpoint at the border area in Ganganagar in eastern Tripura’s Dhalai district.

Officials have said that the kidnapped trio has been taken to neighbouring Bangladesh and a massive search operation has been launched.
