Tripura registered 102 new positive COVID-19 cases on June 1st, 2020, taking the total to 420. The state recorded the cases on the first day of the Unlock 1.0.
Informing that all the patients have a travel history, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb tweeted:
The CM said that a total of 578 samples were tested; of which 102 have been found positive for the lethal coronavirus. Earlier the day, five people were tested positive for the virus.
Of the 420 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 247 are active and 173 have been cured or discharged.
Deb appealed the people of the state to strictly adhere to the guidelines laid by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Health Ministry.

Assam has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases followed by Tripura.

As of 2nd June, India has reached 1,99,000+ in terms of corona positives. The country currently has 97581 active cases with 95526 cured and discharged. The total number of deaths is 5598.

Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross 2 thousand deaths. It has recorded 70013 corona cases with 30108 cured, 2362 deaths and 37543 active cases. The western state is followed by Delhi and Tamil Nadu. Delhi has corona 20834 cases with 8746 cured, 523 deaths, and 11565 active cases. Tamil Nadu has crossed 23495 cases with 13170 cured, 184 deaths 10141 active cases. Gujarat with 17200 COVID-19 cases, so far, has 10780 have been cured, 1063 deaths, and 5357 active cases.
India has surpassed China’s official figure of 82,933 confirmed coronavirus cases. India now has 7th in most cases in the world and has surpassed Germany. So far, the USA has the highest number of covid19 cases at 1,837,170 cases
Global coronavirus cases have surpassed 6,370,763 cases, with Latin America overtaking the United States and Europe in the past week to report the largest portion of new daily cases globally. It represents a new phase in the virus’ spread, which initially peaked in China in February before large-scale outbreaks followed in Europe and the United States.
