Justice M Satya Ratna Sri Ramachandra Rao sworn in as Chief Justice of Tripura High Court

Justice Mamidanna Satya Ratna Sri Ramachandra Rao was sworn in today as the new Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court in a solemn ceremony held at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan, Agartala.

 

Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu administered the oath of office and secrecy to Justice Ramachandra Rao, who arrived in the state capital on Monday ahead of the formal proceedings.

 

Justice Rao’s appointment comes as part of a significant reshuffle in the Indian judiciary.

 

He succeeds Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh, who has been transferred to the Telangana High Court.

 

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Forest Minister Animesh Debbarma, Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma, Chief Secretary Jitendra Kumar Sinha, and other senior government officials.
