Tripura CM hails BJP’s strong showing in Bihar, predicts political shift in West Bengal
Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, on November 14, expressed his delight over the Bharatiya Janata Party’s strong performance in the Bihar Assembly elections, saying the results reflect the party’s growing acceptance across the country.
Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his leadership, Dr. Saha said, “With the BJP’s growing acceptance across states, the face of India will change in the coming days.”
Dr. Saha had campaigned for three BJP candidates in West Champaran—Bagaha, Ramnagar (SC), and Narkatiaganj—and all three constituencies are currently showing the BJP in the lead. “I was in Champaran for campaigning in three Assembly seats, and I am happy to see that the BJP is leading in all of them. This is just the tip of the iceberg. The results are becoming clear, and I want to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Nitish Kumar for their tireless efforts,” he said.
The chief minister asserted that the governance record of Lalu Prasad Yadav has made voters unwilling to bring him back to power. “It is impossible for him to return. Everyone knows what happened during his rule—Gundaraj. People do not want that again,” he added.
Looking ahead, Dr. Saha predicted that West Bengal would witness a similar political shift in the near future. “Next is West Bengal. BJP will also form the government there, and India’s future will change for the better,” he said.
