Tripura Congress holds 'Jai Hind Yatra' in support of armed forces

Tripura Congress leaders and workers marched through the streets carrying the national flag on Friday as part of their "Jai Hind Yatra" to express solidarity with the Indian Armed Forces following recent counter-terrorism operations.

"The people of the country have come together in support of the central government and the armed forces to give a befitting reply to the terrorists," said Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee President Asish Kumar Saha during the rally.

The demonstration comes after terrorist attacks on civilians in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, which sparked nationwide outrage. In response, Indian forces conducted operations against terrorist camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Pakistan after several days.

Saha highlighted that Pakistan's retaliatory drone and missile strikes were successfully neutralised by Indian defence systems.

"We want to convey our heartfelt gratitude for the heroism of the Indian Armed Forces. They have made it clear that India will not compromise with any form of terrorist activity," Saha stated.

The Congress leader emphasised that the rally represents the party's unwavering support for both the armed forces and the government's actions against terrorism.

"We stand firmly with the Indian Armed Forces and extend full support to the Indian government. We are with the Indian Armed Forces," he concluded.
