Tripura: Swarm of bees attack voters during polling, fifteen injured

In a startling incident during the polling hours at Rishi Para in Khowai district of Tripura on Friday, fifteen voters were injured and subsequently rushed to the hospital after being attacked by a swarm of bees.

According to reports, the attack occurred suddenly, causing panic among voters in and around the polling stations. Speaking with reporters, a Fire and Emergency Service personnel confirmed receiving a distress call regarding the bee attack.

"Approximately 12 to 15 people were injured after the bees attacked the voters. Upon receiving the information, we rushed to the 14th polling station under Rishi Para in Khowai District. They were then brought to Khowai District Hospital," said the personnel.

The injured individuals were promptly provided medical attention at the hospital following the incident.

The sudden attack by bees during the polling process highlights the unexpected challenges that can arise during elections, adding an element of unpredictability to the electoral proceedings. Authorities are expected to investigate the incident further to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
