ITANAGAR: The sixth session of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly began paperless here today.

 

The session started with the governor Brig (retd) BD Mishra’s address.

 

He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing 4G internet connectivity to 1683 remote villages by 2022. He said the internet revolution will help people of the hill state in greater connectivity and enhance lifestyle.

The session became paperless with the implementation of E-Vidhan project since March 2020. The E-Vidhan project aims at functioning of the Parliament and state legislatures without paper.

The Assembly also paid rich tributes to former ministers the late Tsering Tashi and the late Khapriso Krong. An obituary references were also made besides observing a minute’s silence.
