The 3rd edition of Arunachal Runway, one of the state’s premier fashion and cultural events, concluded yesterday at Wai International Hotel, Itanagar, with great enthusiasm.
This year, the showcase was dedicated to the Adi community under the theme “Solung Gidi Em Agampe,” celebrating the rich heritage and traditions of the Adis.
The event featured a collaborative collection by seven young designers, blending traditional motifs with contemporary fashion sensibilities. The evening was attended by RD Transport and Panchayat Minister Ojing Tasing as chief guest and former Adi Baane Kebang (ABK) President Toni Pertin as guest of honour.
The event attracted fashion enthusiasts, cultural workers, youth representatives, and art lovers, making it a vibrant celebration of creativity and identity.
In his address, Minister Ojing Tasing commended the Arunachal Runway team for providing a platform for young designers to showcase their talent while preserving indigenous aesthetics.
He also emphasized linking such initiatives with social awareness, particularly the importance of tackling drug abuse among the youth.
Guest of Honour Toni Pertin lauded the organizers for highlighting the Adi community, noting that such cultural and fashion events foster pride, confidence, and communal harmony among the younger generation.
