The Arunachal Pradesh government on Monday felicitated 404 newly inducted Junior Engineers selected through the Junior Engineer Combined Recruitment Examination (JECRE) 2025 in a grand ceremony attended by top state leaders and officials.
The event witnessed all 404 successful candidates standing together in unity as Vande Mataram, India’s national song, echoed through the hall, marking a significant milestone in the state’s recruitment process.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Home Minister Mama Natung, Women and Child Development Minister Dasanglu Pul and Chief Secretary Manish Gupta attended the ceremony.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Khandu urged the newly recruited Junior Engineers from departments including Urban Development (UD), Rural Works Department (RWD), Public Works Department (PWD), Power and Water Resources Department (WRD) to uphold the principles of dedication, integrity and public service as they begin their careers in government service.
He called upon the recruits to serve the people with sincerity, commitment and honesty while contributing to Arunachal Pradesh’s growth and development.
Several newly recruited engineers, speaking after the event, appreciated the government for organising the felicitation programme, describing it as a source of motivation and encouragement to work sincerely for the development of the frontier state through their respective departments.
Parents of the selected candidates also praised the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) for conducting what they described as a free and fair recruitment examination process.
The recruitment drive carries added significance as Arunachal Pradesh has witnessed disruptions in government recruitment processes over the past several years following controversies related to examination paper leak cases, which had affected appointments and recruitment activities.
Families of the newly recruited engineers expressed hope that the induction of young professionals would contribute to stronger infrastructure development and governance in the state.
