Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General KT Parnaik (Retd.) conferred the State Awards and Chief Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration at a grand ceremony held at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar.
The event recognized outstanding individuals and organizations for their exceptional contributions to public service, bravery, and sports.
Seven organizations and three individuals received the prestigious State Gold Medal for their service and achievements:
> Donyi Polo Mission School for the Hearing and Visually Impaired, Chimpu
> Department of Cardiology, Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS), Naharlagun
> Women Police Station, Itanagar
> Project Vartak under Border Roads Organization
> Donyi Polo Cultural & Charitable Trust, Itanagar
> Ramakrishna Sarada Mission, Khonsa
> Centre for Bear Rehabilitation & Conservation, Pakke Tiger Reserve, Seijosa

Anant Mittal, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau
Minli Geyi, Inspector, Officer-In-Charge, Seppa Police Station
Jimkam Khomrang, Constable, Seppa Police Station

State Silver Medal Winners
Thirteen individuals from various fields were awarded the State Silver Medal for their dedication to public service, including police officers, educators, forest rangers, and volunteers.
Chief Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration
The prestigious Chief Minister’s Award was conferred upon:
Superintendent of Police, Itanagar for its e-Services initiative, enhancing transparency and efficiency in public service.
Deputy Commissioner, Papum-Pare District, for pioneering the Innovation Lab Project & Speak SMART East.
Department of Agriculture, for successfully implementing Shree Anna (Millets) initiatives and setting up CPO Mills in Arunachal Pradesh.
Each award carried a cash prize of ₹10 lakh and an honorary Scroll.
National Games Medalists Honored
The Governor also felicitated Arunachal’s sportspersons who excelled at the 38th National Games 2025 in Uttarakhand. Seven athletes won gold medals, four secured silver, and six bagged bronze medals across Taekwondo, Wushu, Weightlifting, Judo, and Kayak Cross.
Among the gold medalists were:
Khinsan Wangsu, Rikpy Nyodu, Achum Sanga, Radha Bangsia, Lumter Uli (Taekwondo)
Mercy Ngaimong, Nyeman Wangsu (Wushu)
The event was graced by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, MP Tapir Gao, MLAs, senior officials, and special invitees. Chief Secretary Manish Gupta conducted the ceremony, which concluded with an interactive High Tea session in the General Bipin Rawat Hall at Raj Bhavan.
This year’s awards reinforced Arunachal’s commitment to excellence in governance, social service, and sports, honouring those who continue to inspire the state with their dedication and achievements.
