Arunachal Pradesh Agriculture, Horticulture, and Veterinary Minister Gabriel Wangsu praised the state’s horticulture policy, emphasising its focus on higher productivity, climate-resilient farming, and improved infrastructure.
Speaking to India Today NE, he highlighted the Rs 1,112 crore allocation in the upcoming state budget, set for approval in the assembly tomorrow, as a major step toward strengthening agriculture and allied sectors.
Wangsu stressed the importance of providing quality planting materials through nurseries and encouraging youth participation in farming.
He also outlined plans to boost dairy farming, fishery development, and other veterinary-related industries to create more livelihood opportunities in the state.
