Arunachal: Suspected NSCN militant gunned down by Assam Rifles in Miao

A fierce clash broke out between Assam Rifles and militant outfit NSCN in Miao district of Arunachal Pradesh on the night of September 13.

An armed militant was killed during the shootout that ensued after two armed militants fired at a patrolling group of security officers during a regular watch, which was met with retaliatory fire, the suspected terrorist was killed by troopers from the 11 Assam Rifles, according to sources.

Sources also claimed that one militant was killed in the battle, while another managed to flee and is still at large.
