Arunachal Pradesh Industries and IPR Minister Nyato Dukam has urged local entrepreneurs and the business community to take full advantage of the Union government’s UNNATI scheme, cautioning that otherwise “outsiders will take away the benefits.”
Speaking at an interaction, Dukam highlighted that the scheme—formally known as the Uttar Poorva Transformative Industrialisation Scheme (UNNATI)—has been launched exclusively for the northeastern states to spur industrial growth and economic development. With a total outlay of Rs 10,037 crore, the scheme covers all eight states of the region.
The minister informed that businesses can register online to avail incentives between March 9, 2024, and March 31, 2026. UNNATI offers a wide range of benefits, including capital investment support, interest subvention, and service- and manufacturing-linked incentives, for both new and expanding units.

“The department is here to support you. Our job is not to do business but to facilitate and provide assistance wherever possible,” Dukam said, assuring entrepreneurs of complete institutional backing.
At the same time, he underlined that political lobbying would not influence the scheme’s benefits. “Any type of political push or recommendation is not going to work. Only genuine entrepreneurs and the business community will benefit,” he asserted.
Dukam stressed that the scheme is a rare opportunity for local entrepreneurs and called on Arunachal’s youth and business community to step forward and seize it before others from outside the state do.
