Citizens at Pema Khandu's swearing-in ceremony as Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh on June 13 voiced their admiration for his leadership and the Modi government's support in driving significant changes in the state.
They commended Khandu for his efforts in improving infrastructure, education, and healthcare during his tenure, expressing contentment that he will continue to lead the state forward.
The event at the DK State Convention Centre in Itanagar drew a high-profile gathering.
Khandu's upcoming cabinet lineup includes Biyuram Waghe, Chowna Mein, Nyato Dukam, Gabriel Denwang Wangsu, Wangki Lowang, Pasang Dorjee Sona, Mama Natung, Dasanglu Pul, Balo Raja, Kento Jini, and Ojing Tasing, signalling a blend of experience and new leadership poised to shape the state's future.
Ahead of the ceremony, Assam Minister Ashok Singhal expressed enthusiasm among the people, stating, "There is great excitement. Once again, the BJP is forming a government in Arunachal under the leadership of Pema Khandu."
Khandu was re-elected as the leader of the BJP Legislature Party in Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday, paving the way for his third term as Chief Minister. He first assumed the role in 2016.
The BJP secured a resounding victory in the recently concluded Assembly elections, winning 46 seats in the 60-member House. Ten seats were already won by the party unopposed before the polls.
