RS MP Tai Tagak visits children's home in Ziro, assures government support

Rajya Sabha MP Tai Tagak visited the Mothers Home-cum-Achukuru Children's Home, a destitute care centre in Ziro, and assured support to strengthen the institution's efforts in caring for underprivileged children.

During the visit, the MP interacted with the children and appreciated the work of the home's founder, Talyang Shanti, commending her dedication to providing shelter, care and hope to destitute and underprivileged children.

As part of his visit, Tagak donated Rs 1 lakh to the institution and distributed essential items, including mattresses, blankets and fruits, for the welfare of the children and other residents.

The Rajya Sabha MP praised the humanitarian work being carried out by the NGO and assured all possible assistance from the government to support its mission.

Acknowledging the challenges faced by the institution, Tagak also assured that he would make efforts to address the road connectivity issues affecting the children's home, stating that better access would improve the well-being of the children and facilitate the smooth functioning of the facility.
