Traffic restrictions announced in Arunachal's Itanagar ahead of Vice President’s visit on September 9

The Itanagar Capital Region Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the visit of Vice President of India C. P. Radhakrishnan to Itanagar for the Seventh (Special) Session of the Eighth Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly on September 9, 2026.
According to the advisory issued by the Superintendent of Police, Traffic Itanagar Capital Region, specific stretches in the capital will be declared “No Parking Zones” for all types of vehicles on September 9.
The stretch from JNK Traffic Point up to Malla Tarin Government Higher Secondary School junction has been designated as a no-parking zone, specifically covering areas within the white-line marking of the road.
Similarly, the stretch from Arun Subansiri Point to Donyi Polo International Hotel will also remain a No Parking Zone for all vehicles throughout the day.
To facilitate smooth traffic movement, commuters and residents of the Lobi area have been advised to use the alternate route from Lobi Panch Ali to Niti Vihar Point via Mob-II Road.
The Traffic Police has warned that vehicles found parked in violation of the advisory will be towed away and dealt with under the relevant penal provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
The OC Traffic Itanagar and MV Checking/Locker Team have been directed to ensure effective implementation of the traffic regulations.
The advisory has been issued in the public interest and has been signed by B. L. Suresh, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Traffic Itanagar Capital Region, dated September 7, 2026.
