Woman alleges negligence, staff absence at Monigong PHC in Arunachal's Shi Yomi during emergency visit

A woman in Arunachal's Shi Yomi district has alleged negligence and irregularities at the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Monigong town after reportedly failing to receive medical assistance during an emergency visit with her infant.

The incident, which occurred at the PHC located in the remote Monigong town near the India-China border, has drawn attention to concerns over healthcare services in one of the state's frontier regions.

In a video recorded at the health facility, the woman claimed that despite arriving during official working hours, she was unable to find doctors, nurses or other medical personnel at the PHC. She alleged that she searched the hospital premises as well as the staff quarters but found no one available to attend to emergency patients.

The woman further alleged that the health centre has long been grappling with inadequate facilities and that medical personnel are often absent even when patients require urgent treatment. She accused the doctors and nursing staff of lacking professionalism and punctuality, raising concerns over the functioning of the healthcare facility.
