2 hurt in pachyderm attack

Guwahati (Assam), Aug 17, 2018:

Two people were seriously injured in an elephant attack at Kaliabor in Assam’s in Nagaon district.

The injured have been identified as Arun Garh and Jiten Ganj, both who have been admitted to the Jakhalabandha primary health centre.

Locals said a herd of about 20 elephants are roaming in Hakmuthiya Tea Estate area for the past few days, alleging that the Forest Department officials were yet to take any initiative in this regard.
