Assam: 850 cases of Indian-made foreign liquor seized in Lakhimpur's Harmoti

HARMOTI: In a major breakthrough, Lakhimpur Excise personnel seized a truck containing several cases of Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL).
The Excise personnel intercepted the vehicle bearing registration No.AS07A C9353 carrying 850 cases of IMFL for sale in Arunachal Pradesh only at Harmoti village under Bihpuria Circle in Lakhimpur on Friday evening.
One person has been arrested in this connection and a case has been registered against him under the Assam Excise Act, 2020.
