Kokrajhar (Assam), September 3, 2018:
An infant that was allegedly abandoned by his parents near a road in
Daolabari Tea Estate, Kokrajhar was rescued by the locals on Monday
morning.
Sources said that a person named Mangal Singh who works in the estate
noticed the infant lying on the roadside. He then informed the local
police and villagers about the child who came for help.
The child was recovered healthy and was immediately admitted at the Daolabari Public
Health Centre.
The locals have suspected that the parents of the infant might have
abandoned him. The police are trying to trace the parents.
