ASSAM: 20 YEAR OLD GANG-RAPED IN HOJAI

Barbarity in the state continues

When the groundswell of horror of the gory rape cases are ascending, another such case comes to the fore. It is reported that a girl was gang-raped and then thrown off on the road in the Kapahbari area of Hojai.

According to sources, the locals spotted the girl cladded in blood at Kopahbari’s 54 National Highway. The victim was brought in a truck by the driver of the vehicle from Samuguri area of Nagaon district. Thereafter, the girl was gang-raped, and then the miscreants threw her off on the road after inflicting the assault. It is reported that the victim, aged 20 hails from Nagaon district. The girl was brutalised by the assailants.

The Police was informed about the matter by the locals. Thereafter, the Police recovered the victim and admitted her at Mahatma Gandhi Model Hospital, Hojai. But due to the critical condition of the victim, she was referred to Nagaon Civil Hospital.

The Police has not been able to arrest the culprits so far.
