Assam: 38 new cases of covid19, state tally extends to 2153

A total of 38 people have newly been tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam taking the tally to 2153. Of these, 13 are from Darrang; 9 Dima Hasao; 7 Nagaon; 5 Sonitpur; 2 Hailakandi; 2 Karimganj
Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted:
With the detection of new cases, the total number of confirmed cases has gone up to 2153. Of the 2153 cases, 1687 are active and 459 have been cured or discharged. Four people have died of the infection in the state so far.
Assam has crossed the 1000-mark in 60 days. It reported the first case on March 31st, 2020. Both the last 2 days have reached 200 cases.
So far, today Assam has 38 cases.
