KOKRAJHAR: Former National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) leader Abhiram Basumatary on Tuesday demanded release of its supremo Ranjan Daimary.
Condemning the act, Basumatary accused the government of transferring Daimary from Guwahati Central Jail on July 22 and keeping him confined in a small room at the 10th ABPN camp in Kahilipara, Guwahati.
"The government earlier said that Diamary would be sent for house arrest but that never happened", further said Basumatary.

The bomb blasts occurred in Guwahati, Bongaigaon, Kokrajhar, and Barpeta Road.
Daimary and the other accused have now filed an appeal against the conviction order in the Gauhati High Court, as well as an application for bail.
