DHUBRI: The Bilasipara Police has rescued a 20-year-old girl who was trafficked to Haryana by two human trafficking agents.

The accused agents have been identified as Abul Kalam and Lal Chan. Both of them hail from Kazaikata village under Bilasipara Sub-division of Dhubri district.

The victim hails from a village under the same Sub-division.

According to the police, the girl was trafficked about three months ago and sold in Haryana for Rs one lakh ten thousand.

After the girl went missing, her family filed two cases numbered at 460/21 and 523/21 at the Bilasipara police station against Abul Kalam and Lal Chan.

Based on secret information, a five-member team of police personnel from Naer-Alga police station along with the Bilasipara police station proceeded to Adampur Mandi village of Haryana on Sunday and successfully managed to rescue the girl.

Meanwhile, the Bilasipara police squad is continuing its rescue operations in Haryana and Rajasthan to rescue two more trafficked teenagers from the Bilasipara Sub-division, Baniapara, and Chirakuta villages.
